In my portfolio images I mostly focus on landscapes and cityscapes, but you’ll also see a some architecture and street photography sprinkled in here from time to time. For me, sunrises and sunsets are the most beautiful times of each day. I cherish any experience I get to sit on a cliff overlooking a sunrise, on a beach watching the sunset, or watching a city skyline light up at dusk. Joshuas Crossing Covered Bridge

Joshua’s Crossing covered bridge in Michigan is tucked away off the beaten path in Lake Ann. It’s such a peaceful and contemplative location. The owner built this bridge in 1996 with many of his friends, and along each interior wall are numerous half-picinic tables that fold down from the wall. I saw fliers here offering the bridge for event rental, for parties, receptions and weddings. All of the Michigan tourism advertising speaks about ‘Real Michigan” and this feels like an exact match for that theme. I’m planning a trip back here after a fresh snowfall, to capture the scene in a winter setting.
