In my portfolio images I mostly focus on landscapes and cityscapes, but you’ll also see a some architecture and street photography sprinkled in here from time to time. For me, sunrises and sunsets are the most beautiful times of each day. I cherish any experience I get to sit on a cliff overlooking a sunrise, on a beach watching the sunset, or watching a city skyline light up at dusk. I limit my portfolio to what I consider to be my Top 20 images, but you can find many more in my store as well. Thanks, and I hope you enjoy browsing around these images!

Nestled in a narrow gorge in southern Washington, Lazy Afternoon at the Cedar Creek Grist Mill Washington is sure to take you back in time. Most people hurrying along the interstate between Seattle and Portland don’t even know this gem is only 15 minutes from the highway. Driving here was half the fun, the pace getting slower with every mile. My stress was melting away, and then I turned the corner to see the grist mill. I could spend hours here, listening to the water running and the birds chirping. Thankfully, there isn’t a great cell signal here, because hearing the phone ring or a Facebook notification buzzing would ruin the entire experience. This was a difficult shot to capture, mainly due to ignoring the time of day and the fact the sun would be directly overhead. I had lots of harsh light and needed a long exposure to capture some motion in the creek and from the water pouring out of the grist mill. The 10-stop neutral density filter came in handy.
