In my portfolio images I mostly focus on landscapes and cityscapes, but you’ll also see a some architecture and street photography sprinkled in here from time to time. For me, sunrises and sunsets are the most beautiful times of each day. I cherish any experience I get to sit on a cliff overlooking a sunrise, on a beach watching the sunset, or watching a city skyline light up at dusk. Right Hand of Lincoln

At the West end of the National Mall is the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC. So often photographed straight-on, I was looking for a view at the Lincoln Memorial that would reflect the serious and thoughtful nature of President Lincoln. Finding a a photo that is clear of tourists can be challenging, as the memorial is usually bursting at the seams with visitors. Try walking around the memorial, viewing Lincoln from numerous angles, and you will certainly find a view that tells a story. I imaging sitting at the Right Hand of Lincoln was a good thing, and I wonder what his “right hand man” must have experienced working alongside such an amazing President.
