In my portfolio images I mostly focus on landscapes and cityscapes, but you’ll also see a some architecture and street photography sprinkled in here from time to time. For me, sunrises and sunsets are the most beautiful times of each day. I cherish any experience I get to sit on a cliff overlooking a sunrise, on a beach watching the sunset, or watching a city skyline light up at dusk. Elowah Falls in the Columbia River Gorge

One of the most impressive waterfalls in the Columbia River Gorge, Elowah Falls is a majestic and peaceful experience. Getting here is a completely different experience compared to the tourist-packed Multnomah Falls that sits right off the highway. Be prepared for a 3.5 mile roundtrip hike, with plenty of elevation changes and a decent climb in the middle. Approximately 289 feet tall, this waterfall pours over massive cliffs covered in yellow-green lichen, and the small wooden footbridge adds to the character of this scene. Standing near the base of the waterfall and looking up, the massive gorge will make anyone feel small. It can also be a little disconcerting if you hike here alone, hearing nothing but water crashing over the rocks, until a single loud crackle comes from the trail.
